President of Croatia, Stjepan Mesić, inaugurated Gas Field and Gas Metering Station Sječe.

In the seasone of the biggest gas consumption, INA Naftaplin started a gas production on the gas field Sječe in the eastern part of Croatia, Slavonija. The estimated production is 185,2 million m3 pure gas in the next 8 years.

Building of the entirely new gas metering station was completed in the period of two months. SCAN has made operations involved with instrumentation and automation of the entire plant:

• Supervisory and control system
• Uninterruptible power supply system
• Instrumentation system integration
• On-line system diagnostics
• Intensive training for operators

Control system has been realized with Mitsubishi PLCs that accept digital and analog signals from the process and also control process.
Uninterruptible power supply system was designed and mostly produced by SCAN.
Supervisory system consists of redundant workstations (SCADA) that work with Windows 2000 Proffesional operating system. For process visualisation is used one of the leading software US DATA Factory Link 7.1.

In the field was installed process instrumentation by Fisher Rosemount, which is the member of Emerson Process Management.
For gas flow and gas energy measurement is used certified flow computer SC-FLOW, which is also a product of SCAN.
Before the plant start-up, our engineers gave an intensive training to operators, technicians and engineer, that supervise this plant today with great success.
