Scan has modernized the metering and control system (terminal automation) of truck loading and ship loading oil products storage facility Solin.

Oil products storage facility Solin is used for storage and loading of oil products to tank trucks and small tankers.

From Solin terminal, oil products are distributed to petrol stations all over Dalmatia, and if needed to the whole territory of Croatia, as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. Small tankers distribute oil products to islands in the Adriatic.

As defined by the contract, SCAN has modernized truck loading facilities in Vranjicko Blato and Sveti Kajo areas of the terminal and ship loading facility in Mala Obala.

Modernization included the following:

•   installation of SET/STOP valves for automatic loading of products
•   installation of oil products metering system including flow computers with batch control functions (SC-LOAD)
•   Terminal Automation system for supervision of the terminal operation, visualization of loading process, metering data logging, bill of lading and report generation etc.
•   installation of communications and IT equipment necessary for plant smooth operation
